Light Project Peterborough (LPP)
Hoodies and tracksuit bottoms – provides comfort and warmth
Socks and underwear – essential items for those sleeping rough (must be new)
Travel mugs – allows guests to take hot drink away with them from The Garden House

Centre 33
We often have the need to provide young people who are at risk of homelessness with practical items such as winter coats, sleeping bags or phone credit top ups/handsets. However, we cannot store such items. Instead, we like to provide up to £30 in Tesco vouchers so that the young people can purchase the items with the vouchers instead.
Deliver to: Centre 33, 4 Cumbergate, Peterborough, PE1 1YR on a Monday or Wednesday 10am-5pm
Outside Links – Supporting the homeless and ex-offenders
We are very grateful for clean, warm, male and female coats and clothing along with shoes in good condition.
We are always in need of toiletries and underwear to provide on shower days:
Shaving Foam, Razors, Deodorant, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Female Hygiene products, Boxer Shorts all sizes, Female Underwear all sizes, Socks both male and female
Deliver to: Outside Links – Bradfield House First Floor, Westgate, Peterborough, PE1 2SY. Weekdays 10.30am to 4pm.
HMP Peterborough
The following items would be greatly appreciated for pregnant women:
Baby clothes (especially newborn), prams in good condition, or any other baby items you would consider

Fairview Court – Supported accommodation for the homeless
We would welcome donations of non-perishable food items that we can use to develop cooking/life skills with residents, plus bedding and towels for those that move in without these items
Deliver to: 1 Oundle Road, Peterborough, PE2 9PB.
The New Haven – Supported hostel for the homeless
The following items are always beneficial for clients accessing the service, and those residing at the service, all items will be gratefully received
Household items: Cutlery, Mugs (Microwave safe), Dinner Plates (Microwave safe), Cereal Bowls (Microwave safe), Saucepans, Baking Trays.
Toiletries for males and females: Deodorant, Shower Gel, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Moisturiser, Hair Brushes, Combs, Face Flannel, Bath Towels, Bath Sheets.
Tinned & Dried Foods: Soup, beans, peas, carrots, spaghetti hoops, dried pasta and rice, pasta sauce, cuppa soups, cereals
Unused bedding for single beds: Duvets, duvet sets, pillows, fitted sheets
Perishable foods – with at least 72hours use by life: Bread, fruit & veg, cakes
Deliver to: The New Haven, 21 Towler Street, Peterborough, PE1 2TX on a Weds or Friday, between 11am and 3pm.
Change, Grow, Live – Aspire Recovery Centre, supporting those recovering from addiction
Any donations of the following items would be gratefully received:
Dry foods, gloves, hats, socks, general clothing, torches, blankets, waterproof ground sheets, thermal flasks.
Deliver to: Aspire, 102-104 Bridge Street, Peterborough, PE1 1DY, any week day, however, ideally Thursday from 3pm preferred
Peterborough Foodbank
Peterborough Foodbank relies on the generosity of the community for food donations.
Deliver to: Donations can also be made to the Peterborough Foodbank Warehouse Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays between 10am-1pm. Please check the Peterborough Foodbank website for a up to date list of the food items we need.
Peterborough Soup Kitchen
Peterborough Soup Kitchen generally takes tins of food and soup, pasta sauce, coffee, packet noodles, sugar, biscuits, cakes, crisps, and savouries. To donate email supplies@peterboroughsoupkitchen.org.uk.
Care Zone
Care Zone depends on donations of good quality essential furniture and we are always looking for:

Deliver to: Our warehouse is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Fridays from 10am - 1pm for people to drop off donations. We can collect large furniture items so please check our website for more information on how to donate.
YMCA Time Stop
If you would like to help us make a difference to the lives of young people in your community you can make a donation of bedding and kitchen items to our ‘Moving On’ starter packs. Anyone wishing to make donations to Time Stop please email Time Stop Housing Manager: kerry.aldred@ymcatrinity.org.uk

Hope into Action

Occasionally, when we are setting up a new house, or refurbishing a house at the end of tenancy, we have a need for good quality furniture items, and other house items. Please call 01733-558301 if you have a suitable item.
Peterborough Women’s Aid
We would welcome donations of brand new women and children's clothing such as: leggings, jeans, t=shirts, sweatshirts/jumpers. Please contact us for information of other items such as non-perishable food and toiletries, we may require as we have limited storage. Call 01733-894964 for drop off times.

Boroughbury are a Food Bank drop off location, please feel free to drop in food items and they will be sure to get them to the Peterborough Food Bank.
Volunteer your time
Safer off the Streets partners and charities need the help of volunteers to assist with a wide variety of tasks and services. This can range from administration tasks, mentoring, transport, DIY, skill share, or just someone to talk to. All volunteers play a crucial role in preventing and ending street homelessness and helping people rebuild lives. Safer off the Streets

Light Project Peterborough are always on the lookout for new volunteers to support the various projects that support people who are struggling. Hope into Action
If you would like to volunteer with us, we have opportunities for you! You might be asked to paint a room or two or help with some gardening in one of our properties. We are also open to discussion if you feel you have a specific gift or talent that you would like to offer such as administrative skills, fundraising or social media. CareZone
Care Zone is reliant on volunteers and we have a range of volunteering opportunities from helping with helping with admin, helping pack our small household items and moving furniture in the warehouse. Changing Futures
A key area of focus for Changing Futures is involving people with Lived Experience in systems change work. We would be very keen to hear from people with lived experience or those who connect with them, who would like to find out more about being involved.
